I personally have a distain for casinos, they are designed to lure the most degenerate class of society to play games they have no chance of winning in the long run. On the rare occasion I do go to a casino I only play craps, because that game is really fun.

I prefer to get my gambling kicks out in the stock market, where I feel to be in more control of my odds. Since the house always wins, casino stocks have appealed to me for a long time.

Recently there has been some unwarrented selling across the board in the casino industry… and this may be an opportunity to buy. I am most interested in companies with exposure to southeast asia, particularly Macau… as it is no secret that Asians have gambling in their blood… and are thus an excellent customer base to exploit (sorry if that sounds evil).

My favorite casino stock is Melco Crown Entertainment (MPEL), they own several premier properties in Macau and are building a casino in the Philippines… a pure play on south-east asia. I am already a owner of the stock.
